I think we’ve met before…

What attracts us to certain people?  Blue eyes, green eyes, long legs, nice hands, whatever takes your fancy!

And why do we connect to some and not others?  Compatible or incompatible star signs or maybe it’s because you have history…past life history.

I think there’s something in the statement “I know you from somewhere but I can’t think where”.  So what you all think maybe a chat up line may actually hold some value.  That’s for you guys to work out!

Attraction is a powerful thing and you can bring people into your life just with the energy you put out each day.  I’ve wished for things and on reflection I got what I wished for, perhaps not in the most perfect way but then my timing is not the best…never has been.

Once you connect with someone ‘good’ whatever the circumstances, embrace every moment.  Some of these moments are short lived for many reasons but grab them while you can and learn to let go when it is ‘good’ for you.  Someone ‘good’ will always want to be a part of your life, consider yourself blessed when that happens.

I have learned that if you feel even the smallest doubt about someone or a situation to be careful…I always go by my ‘gut instinct’ or ‘intuition’ … it is stronger than ever, a feeling that I can’t ignore.

I went by that intuition last year and I connected with some special people…why?  I think I knew them before…you’re all thinking “She’s lost the plot” but I know I haven’t!  I gained so much from embracing these new, true friends.  What a year!!

I’m a believer that things happen for a reason.  Keep an open mind… let people in or let people go?  That’s up to you but one thing is certain, both mean the beginning of something new.

Tell me a word, any word and I will show you the root of that word is ‘Greek’

‘Psychotherapy’ literally means to ‘nurse the soul’; deriving its name from the ancient Greeks and their understanding of human nature and the psyche.

Memories…

What is your first memory?

Mine is trying to use the toilet for the first time on my own and falling in butt first! My dad found me and instead of helping me out, he stood there laughing.  It is a moment in my life that brings a smile to my face when I think of it.

But, what if we could all be like Dory, from ‘Finding Nemo’.  No memory at all meaning we would never have any recollection of what’s gone on before.

The problem with that would of course be that all the good memories would also be erased forever, you know those memories that can enter your mind when you’re walking down the street and everyone that passes you wonders what on earth you are smiling about.

So what affects us most?  It is the memory of something good, bad, upsetting or even naughty!!

I have no complaints about some of those memories but I do think about some of them, especially those which can affect the way that determines how we live our lives in the present and future.

Sure, we can all move on and try to build a life worth living but our history has a massive impact on us and is the basis for the decisions we make.  That history may not be in our thoughts when deciding on things, but it is in our subconscious.

Respect to everyone who has been through something and has endeavoured to move on with their lives in a positive way.  Shame on those who were responsible for making you fight for it!

Give someone a memory that they don’t want to forget, give someone a memory that will bring a smile to their face, give someone a memory that will come into their mind when they need it the most.

Hurtful actions and words equally have the same impact on a person. Protect children from them and you will have saved them from a mind that is sometimes unbearable to live with.

The greatest gift you can give anyone is a happy thought.

It’s my life…

Ever wonder why people feel the need to stop something from happening to you?  I’m not talking about saving you from a possible accident or a crazy shopper who nearly knocks you over for that last bunch of bananas!  I’m talking about people who think they know best when it comes to what’s good or bad for you.  Do they know best?  Should they interfere? What gives them the right to perhaps alter your life’s path?

If they sense potential danger, then that’s one thing.  A true friend will always have your back and will want to protect you.  A family that cares will do the same.

You’re probably thinking our destiny is up to us and we attract the people that want to hurt us.  I personally think that’s a cop out, people that do you wrong get away with it and you take the blame….I don’t think so.
One of the main reasons for people getting in ‘your’ way is envy.  Yes, that ugly green eyed monster who will stop at nothing to stop you.  I have seen healers, gurus, fortune teller’s you name it over the years and each one has mentioned the green eyed monster and have told me to be wary. Great!  How do you deal with other people’s insecurities?  The honest answer is you can’t.  Just rise above it and carry on, be yourself and never change.

So please, if you are not happy with your lot do something to change it instead of focusing your energy on what someone else has or could potentially have. This energy is so negative and will make it much harder for you to live the life you want.

So live! Make mistakes! How can we say we’ve lived if we haven’t made the odd mistake or two?  The trick is not to make that same mistake twice.  Every situation is a lesson and if you didn’t learn the first time then you’ll be a pupil forever and never a teacher.
