She Be a Poet ~ Fantasy Green

The cold wind hit me hard today as I walked,
it slapped my skin without warning just like life.
You know how it goes, life is good and then it turns,
life is cool before unexpected burns.

Fresh buds are peeping from the ground,
bluebell blanket caresses the forest like a lover.
Petals droop without reciprocation,
run, run for cover.

Keep on moving I say – to myself that is,
affirmations set in natures ears.
Green hues act as balm and bandaid,
skin so worn, tortured by all that is dear.

She Be a Poet ~ 10 Thousand Steps

Photograph source: unknown

I write this on a Sunday, a hotter than expected day heat on my back,

10 thousand steps, my legs felt them all in the woods, deep in muddy tracks.

Hazy sunshine reflection caressed the still of the water,

Divine familiar presence, an angel guiding my steps – I am her daughter.

Nature’s arms are open wide, I feel her, brave I snuggle close to the wind,

Setting cloudless intentions, the universe is listening –

negativity dumped in the bad vibes bin.

Selenite is glowing, protective crystals circle round,

They bask in moonlit hopes and glories, tender energy finally found.

10 thousand steps to here and my heartfelt words,

There is nowhere that I cannot move, winged intentions, free as a bird.

She Be a Poet ~ Epiphany Floats

I’m tired of pondering on the past,

I mean, I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to feel bored, that’s not like me at all.

That third eye manifestation is real, I see it and it sees me, hello epiphanies, I’ll take your hits,

I love being awakened as you sprinkle sense and grit.

Always the same format though, I get down to get back up,

Hmmm…

But what if I rise instead?

Floating would be a heavenly change, the idea of ease is appealing,

Weightless, free from the bruises of repeated kneeling.

She Be a Poet – Her Joy

Waking from sleep is a strange feeling now, anxiety hits me hard

Duvet is my protector, cushioned, I am wrapped in layers reluctant to move.

Who is this person I have become, the person who lives to hide?

She is new to me, unfamiliar tactics, shy as a blushing bride.

Greek, but where is my kefi?

Soulful, but where is my rhythm?

Woman, when will you return?

Soon.
