Relentless rain, you’re joking,
torture taps, drip drop,
confused mind, May where are you?
please, I beg you to stop.
Relentless rain, sunshine thief,
pickpocket of rays and suntan,
fierce wind drinks, dehydrated dermis,
i’m bluer than cyan.
Relentless rain, time’s up babe,
trickling tricks for the last time,
balmy change arrived today,
sunset and sunrise.

Love you or ‘I’ love you?
The difference seems clear,
one is just something you say,
the other begs, you are wanted here.
Say it, don’t say it?
Actions will spill the beans,
I love you with a passion,
deep in lucid dreams.
To hug or to hold?
Arms outstretched for both,
one, a moment of reassurance,
the other, solid commitment – protective oath.

How do you sing a love song,
when the words are hard to hear?
Long are the hours in winter,
a lonely sofa and ice-cold beer.
It’s all good, that’s what people say,
a statement that hides sad truths.
I plead with fictional characters,
assailants jumping from roof to roof!
Lives and lies entwine, lovers fooled,
twisting over tight shoulders to be heard.
Crippling imagination, mind, allow me to be,
out of gas, I’ll walk now, keep on moving to be free.
Undaunted, deep-rooted will resides,
solar plexus awakens; senses alert.
Intuition transpires; my heart in warm hands,
guiding me truly when no one else can.

Precious souls looking down,
Illuminating light,
Their tranquil tones good company,
Deep into the night.
They loved me in my lifetime,
They love me now they’re gone,
Watchful unwavering protection,
Melodic, soothing song.
I smell sweet roses where I walk,
I see them, full bloom, ruby red,
He grew them in the garden,
So much pride, peaceful bed.
