She Be a Poet ~ Unclouded Mind

Artist Credit: Shira Barzilay

When the hard rain quits,
fought with the heroism of the sun,
puddles of despair dry, kind weather,
healing has begun.

When the unruly wind diminishes,
losing its power and flex,
stillness fortifies the mind,
welcoming what will be next.

When the shady clouds scurry,
tail between formations and lies,
the view is crystal clear now,
temperate in salvation,
the forecast?
A fair goodbye.

She Be a Poet ~ Balmy Blue

Created by: Tiago Caetano

Relentless rain, you’re joking,
torture taps, drip drop,
confused mind, May where are you?
please, I beg you to stop.

Relentless rain, sunshine thief,
pickpocket of rays and suntan,
fierce wind drinks, dehydrated dermis,
i’m bluer than cyan.

Relentless rain, time’s up babe,
trickling tricks for the last time,
balmy change arrived today,
sunset and sunrise.

She Be a Poet ~ Holding On

Artist: Muhammed Salah

Love you or ‘I’ love you?
The difference seems clear,
one is just something you say,
the other begs, you are wanted here.

Say it, don’t say it?
Actions will spill the beans,
I love you with a passion,
deep in lucid dreams.

To hug or to hold?
Arms outstretched for both,
one, a moment of reassurance,
the other, solid commitment – protective oath.

She Be a Poet ~ Fantasy Green

The cold wind hit me hard today as I walked,
it slapped my skin without warning just like life.
You know how it goes, life is good and then it turns,
life is cool before unexpected burns.

Fresh buds are peeping from the ground,
bluebell blanket caresses the forest like a lover.
Petals droop without reciprocation,
run, run for cover.

Keep on moving I say – to myself that is,
affirmations set in natures ears.
Green hues act as balm and bandaid,
skin so worn, tortured by all that is dear.
